Our Lady of Lourdes, Steelstown, Derry

Steeltsown Church is similar to the church in the Glenties.  It’s simple symbolic tented form blends into its sub-urban landscape. The western hemlock timber sheeting to the interior gives it a warmth.

The church was completed in 1977 for Fr Joe Carlin and the parochial house was added in the late 1980’s.
